Vietnam. What comes to mind are all those names etched into the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in Washington D.C. and the 3 million American young men who fought during the conflict. One generation, twenty years, five Presidents, starting with Dwight Eisenhower and ending with Gerald Ford. AMAZING FOOD…
One of those 3 million young men was our own Ron McUne. Ron and his wife, Cynthia, recently returned to Vietnam and surrounding countries on vacation. He has a story to share with us about the Vietnam of then and the Vietnam of now.
Please join me this Tuesday at noon on ZOOM for an escape from the confines of COVID-19 to the jungles and beaches of Vietnam. If I know Ron, this will be one heck of a presentation, and one you will not want to miss.
I know this quarantine is not easy. It is not easy for those flying solo. It is not easy if you are not working. It is not easy if you are working or going to school virtually. The future is out there even if it is just mirage-like in the distance. Let hope overcome fear.
In the meantime, this is stolen time my family is getting with each other. With not much to treasure, I can treasure that. I also treasure my Rotary family. Hope to see you this Tuesday at noon on ZOOM.
