We are over a month into the chapter of our lives titled “Apart but Together.” This chapter is one that that is difficult to read let alone experience. With life itself being the unreliable narrator of the story at this point, we can still have control over how we choose to spend our time. I choose to connect with all of you every Tuesday at noon via ZOOM for a virtual Rotary meeting!
Last week our Club had its first ever virtual Rotary meeting with almost 40 participants in attendance! Gene brown bagged his lunch (well, Sandy brown bagged it for him as he preferred a “lunch box”), and Al was on mute while happily munching on his meal! Ben was out on a walk while joining in! If you are having a bad hair day, you can choose to post a picture of yourself or just participate without your virtual self showing. I have now come to realize it is not just women that can have a bad hair day! This may turn into a bad hair month but remember we are all in this together!
This Tuesday we have the pleasure of another “Who Am I” series. Please join me to hear a chapter or two from the lives of a couple of our newer members to the Club. One member you will hear present hasn’t even been able to go through his new member orientation as of yet due to our current environment….This is a great way to connect our Club! Make your favorite lunch and connect with your Rotary family! We can all still get together while being apart!
