The Portland Rotary Club sponsored the Medford Rotary Club, and we obtained our charter on May 15, 1923.
The Rotary Club of Medford was established as the first club in the Rogue Valley and the 353rd in the world.
The first President was Fred Heath, who owned and operated Heaths Drug Store. The club began with 26 charter members and the first meeting was in the basement of the Medford Hotel for lunch every Tuesday.
