1 in 5 kids in Jackson County faces food insecurity at home.
Children receive free or reduced-price school meals during the week, but at home, families struggle with food budgets that are stretched thin. And on the weekend, with no school meals, the burden is even greater.
We aim to help children maintain a nutritious lifestyle.
There is a relationship between academic performance and food insufficiency. Rogue Powerpack works to lessen the academic gap created by improper nutrition. Whether at home or at school, we feel that the community is responsible, locally, regionally, or governmentally, to afford each child an equal chance to succeed academically.
