Friends of the Oregon Caves and Chateau
Sue Densmore, Executive Director of Friends of the Oregon Caves and Chateau gave the presentation to our club last Tuesday. Discovered in 1874, by Elijah Davidson, the Oregon Caves were set aside for preservation by President Teddy Roosevelt in 1903 and was designated as a National Monument by President Howard Taft in 1909.
