Costs are going up for everyone and that includes our Rotary Club. Last month we signed a new agreement with the Rogue Valley Country Club for this next club year through June, 2024. We will now be paying $175 per week room charge as opposed to $150. Lots of other budget items are going up, too. Our membership is stable and trending upward somewhat but we are smaller than we were pre-pandemic. Many clubs in the district have found weekly drawings fun and helpful.
This is how it will work. We will sell tickets for $1 each, 7 for $5 and 15 for $10. Chuck Root and I will sweeten the deal with $100 to begin. Then the fun and probably weekly excitement will build. The weekly drawing winner will draw a card from the hearts in a deck of playing cards. If the queen of hearts is drawn, the winner splits the pot with the club 50-50. If not, the drawn card is removed from the deck and the pot rolls over to the next week. Fun and excitement builds! Come join us!
