ROTARY - Reminder: No Meeting Today & Upcoming Presentation on September 10th
Quote from Email Blast on September 3, 2024, 9:27 amDear Rotarian,I hope you all enjoyed a relaxing Labor Day weekend! Just a quick reminder that we are dark today due to the holiday.
Looking ahead, our next meeting will be on Tuesday, September 10th, at NOON at the Rogue Valley Country Club. We have a special presentation lined up titled "Empowering Maya Children Through Education."
This presentation will provide an overview of the education and literacy programs provided by Adopt-a-Village in Guatemala to Indigenous children in several Maya villages in the remote western highlands. These programs align with one of Rotary’s areas of focus—education and literacy—and are making a significant impact by lifting up children and their families through education, one life at a time.
The organization was founded by Frances Dixon, whose vision and dedication to improving the lives of others earned her Rotary International’s Service Above Self award in 2020.
I look forward to seeing you all next week for what promises to be an inspiring and informative session!
Warm regards,
Breann Wright
President
