A New ‘U’: Envisioning an Entrepreneurial Future for SOU

Southern Oregon University will soon celebrate its 150th anniversary. During his Rotary presentation, entitled “A New ‘U’: Envisioning an Entrepreneurial Future for SOU”, Dr. Bailey will review the traditional sources of funding for public colleges and universities and set the stage for how SOU intends to think differently regarding its fiscal model. By embracing new opportunities, creating dynamic partnerships, and increasing risk tolerance, the university will reposition itself to thrive well into the future. Dr. Bailey’s vision for the university is rooted in a deeply profound optimism and inspired by the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of a first-generation college student.
