With our Club member’s health and best interest at heart, the Board has decided to temporarily suspend our weekly Club meetings for the next two Tuesdays by majority vote. This is due to the Covid-19 threat and the announcement from Governor Kate Brown yesterday. I also received word that our Rotary Relays have been officially canceled along with many District events including the District Celebration, District Club Assembly, and District Rotary Leadership Institute. I even heard that Disneyland will be closing for two weeks.
Please rest assured that your Board is closely monitoring the situation and will keep you apprised should any further cancellations be necessary. What comes to mind is the saying “The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry. No matter how carefully a project is planned, something may still go wrong with it.” The saying is adapted from a line in “To a Mouse,” by Robert Burns.
