Have You Found Your Heart?

 

Dear Rotarian,

Each time I give to The Rotary Foundation I am reminded of the words of Past Rotary International President Richard King: that by and large each donation of $1000 will save four lives!

Will you consider saving one life this coming year by giving $250 to The Rotary Foundation?

November is Rotary Foundation month and we are asking all Rotarians to consider making their contribution during this time and Saving a Life. To achieve our goals of saving at least 6,000 lives this year we will need your help.

Past Rotary International President Richard King inspires us with his words:

“…It never entered my mind, …when someone touched me and invited me to join something higher than myself….. it made me a better husband, a better father, a better family member… a better citizen, and a better humanitarian.   Which gave me the best friends in the world that anybody can have.  The people in my club who didn’t even know my mother when she died, but all showed up at her funeral to support me. When that man came to my office and said, “I’d like you to be part of Rotary”, I did not know then that he was introducing me to the best people in the world- of every race, and religion, and color, and culture, and language, and ideology, and nationality.  And they all have been my friends, so that today I can go to any one of the 34,000 clubs, and so can you, and be accepted across the globe as a citizen of the world….. For every second of the day, we make the blind to see, the deaf to hear, we clothe the naked, we feed the hungry, we heal the sick, we save lives, we bring hope, we educate, we care, we love. And every time somebody contributes to the Rotary Foundation and becomes a Paul Harris Fellow, we save the lives of 4 human beings…”

Please join us in celebrating Rotary Foundation month by contributing at least $250 and saving one life. If not this month then fill out this pledge card and give it to your Foundation Chair that you will commit to saving a life in 2020.
