Our club meeting this week of Thanksgiving promises to be a very good one. Our speaker will be Dave Larson from the Oregon Department of Forestry. He will recap the 2023 Fire Season and discuss current Federal issues.
This being the third Thursday of the month we will have our regular board meeting at 10:45 A.M. just prior to the meeting at RVCC and all members are welcome to attend. At the meeting we will also be welcoming our newest member, Johan Pietila. Please come and congratulate him in person. Our average age is dropping and intelligence level is increasing.
Tuesday of Thanksgiving week is increasingly being designated by charitable organizations, including Rotary, as Giving Tuesday. As we celebrate our gifts please remember how much good Rotary does in our community and the world and give as generously as possible. As is our custom we will have baskets available for us to thank our wait staff at RVCC who take such good care of us throughout the year.
Another piece of good news this week is that I can announce and publish our first notice of new members Dave and Jackie Baker. This brings our total number of RVM satellite members to ten. They are working hard to develop their first project and working on a date to host the rest of us in early 2024.
