Rotary First Harvest Update
With 30,000 pounds of produce and meat generated for local food banks in nine communities last year, this is a time of planning, scheduling, and preparation for the 2011 growing year. Rotarians are working with community members to coordinate educational activities, volunteers, and other activities around local projects. The most important item of business, as Bill McArdle, Port Orford Rotarian and First Harvest South Coast Regional Director, reminded me recently, is to “have fun”.
