Dear Rotarian,
Next week’s District Newsletter will include a posting copied below about a doctor in Poland who had once been a Rotary Exchange student hosted by the Grants Pass Club. Last Wednesday, she spoke by internet from Poland to the Grants Pass club members about what they are doing in Poland to help – and they could use assistance.
The Grants Pass Daily Courier covered the story on Wednesday as well. Pick up a copy or you can access on their website with an online account.
Thank you,
Raul Woerner

In addition to ShelterBox and RI’s Disaster Relief Fund, here is another way to assist the refugees from Ukraine. Directly to the Rotary Club of Poznan, Poland. A Rotary Exchange Student from Poland who is now a doctor and her Rotary club are asking for medical assistance so they can better help the thousands of Ukrainians still in Ukraine and those that coming into their community. The Poznan club is now getting the needed medical equipment into the hands of Doctors in Lviv, Ukraine. If that region looks like it will be overrun, it will be transferred back to Poland and used there. She has stayed in close contact with her exchange “parents”, Steve and Nancy Swearingen, members of the Grants Pass Rotary Club, who visited there in 2019. If you would like to know where your donation is going and how it will be used please consider helping our clubs in Grant Pass assist the Poznan Rotary in Poland.
Please make the checks out to the Grants Pass Rotary Foundation and put in the I.D. line “Ukraine relief”.
