Sustainability Featured in Thursday’s ROTARY NOW!/Leading Change
By DG Cindi O’Neil
This Thursday Evening at 7 p.m. Register NOW for Rotary Now! / Leading Change
Rotary undertakes a huge variety of projects, and in all of them, a key focus is sustainability. We want the community in which the project is undertaken to be able to continue to receive the benefit of our work for the foreseeable future. In almost all of our projects, we take something into the community, whether it be a new well, a renovated school, vaccinations, microloans, electric ambulances, medical supplies….but in a handful of projects, we help to train people to take knowledge and skills back into their communities.
Some of that training comes about because we take experts to the communities, and train on site. This “train the trainers” concept is the way Rotary can exponentially increase our impact.
Want to know more? Join us for a lively exploration with leaders of two very different projects that provide highly desired training, both here and overseas: Past District Governor Chuck Root of RC Medford and Susan Sygall of RC Eugene. Understand how to imbed sustainability into your club’s next project.

100+ Items at Sutherlin Club Auction Open to Public One Final Day
By Dave Kinder
The Rotary Club of Sutherlin Auction is well underway online, but there are still some hours left for 5110 Rotarians to find the auction item of their choosing!
We are a club who Builds a Better Community where People Matter and want to come here. Behind every dollar is a Child, a Project, an Outreach where we can leave this World and our Community better than we found it. The money we raise goes toward scholarships and helping kids and local families, our local schools, toward the food bank, the backpack program, and FFA. We support the annual lighting of the train in the park, both Cooper Creek trail and Ford’s Pond along with special programs like the Starfish keeping-kids-in-school partnership.
We have more than 100 items to choose from and we appreciate your support! It is easy to sign up, select auction details then select the Register to Bid button to create an account, and you are ready to go!
Our auction is found at http://www.i5auctions.com/auction.html?=1000002742 If you are not internet savvy or have challenges just call 800-334-7445, anyone in that call center can get you approved ??
