Rotary makes a positive difference in so many ways. Our Rotary Club has always made it a priority to encourage local area high school students to pursue education beyond graduation. In 1947, the Club began a unique informal student loan program. By the early 1960’s it had evolved into a formal scholarship grant program. On July 3, 1962, the Medford Rotary Foundation was incorporated as a non-profit organization.
This Tuesday, please join me for a presentation from our Club Foundation President, Lauren Regnani to hear how our Foundation has fared during this COVID crisis and the positive impact it brings to the graduates and youth in our community.
During these uncertain times, a little financial help to encourage our graduates to pursue their education and/or vocational dreams, makes a big difference. My heart goes out to our 2020 graduates who missed out on their traditional graduation ceremonies and Senior year events. Just knowing that someone believes in you and is behind you 100%, can be that spark to create our leaders of tomorrow.
